Sorta Gentle is the work of a former Creative Director with roots in film, entertainment, and design now exploring the art of rope through a more intimate lens.
Since 2016, their practice has evolved into a quiet and intentional form of storytelling that focuses on atmosphere rather than explanation.
With a background in visual narrative, each image leans into warm, moody tones and a sense of restraint. Faces are often left out, identities kept hidden—not as a strict rule, but as a creative choice. While some recent work includes glimpses of expression and presence, the preference is still for anonymity. This approach invites the viewer to step into the scene, to bring their own meaning, and to feel rather than define.
There is no single story being told. Instead, there are moments—of tension, softness, stillness. Each frame leaves space for interpretation. Sorta Gentle isn’t about giving answers. It’s about leaving room to breathe.
